History
I’ve been a fan of Stephen King since 1984. That was the year I read Night Shift and did a book report in high school. Night Shift was a trial run with a "new author" for me. Prior to King, I read a lot of Mark Twain and Robert Louis Stevenson. After Night Shift, I got in trouble for reading Stephen King in class more than once.
I decided to open a website first and foremost because I am a fan. My heart has always been in this. I also wanted to share one of my favorite hobbies. I am an avid collector, and have been for over 30 years. Many of you have already done business with me as "BD" on the listings on the Betts Books website. I listed books for over ten years with Betts. You might have bought from me as Donnancastle on Ebay. In any case, I have been buying and selling for a long time.
It is a joy to finally have a venue to share my rare editions, and to introduce my friends to the world of collecting. I am committed to timely service, providing the best condition editions I can bring to market and hopefully providing an interesting one-of-a-kind experience.
I am here as proprietor of Needful Kings as fan, a businessman and a friend. I do this as a hobby, an outlet for collecting, and as an entertaining way to run a collectibles shop.
I hope many of you find something intriging. Life is full of many interesting "things." Many of you have known me for years. Many more of you have only recently met me. I hope to get to know many more of you in time.
